There are 80 questions comprising 200 marks with all the questions carrying equal marks of 2.5. There is a penalty of one-third marks for every wrong answer. Some sections like Decision Making and Problem Solving may not have any negative marks.
This exam is only qualifying in nature with passing marks fixed at 33%; which means a candidate has to score 66 out of 200 marks to qualify in the paper.
A candidate with good academic record will not face any difficulty in qualifying this paper. But candidates from rural areas and with limited skills in language and numeracy may face difficulty in scoring the minimum qualifying marks in the examination.

The course on CSAT gives an opportunity to the Civil Services aspirants to improve their logical reasoning, language and numerical skills. These skills are generally useful in studying other subjects as well.

Training a student to qualify this examination is not a difficult task. A student can qualify the paper even if (s)he is able to answer only two sections correctly among reasoning, comprehension and numeracy. Our faculties train the students in such a way that the students develop the skill for their lifetime.
